so here is why we can’t work with agencies/recruiters/hiring platforms/third parties
note that this doesn’t apply to you if
you own an agency and are applying to a fractional role directly/yourself
you’re an independent consultant operating through an LLC
alright so we totally get the value of agencies / recruiters / hiring platforms / third parties
we ourselves operate like all of these things in some capacity
the number 1 reason we can’t/don’t work with third parties is because we don’t need help finding engineers
our whole business revolves around finding good people and we won’t take on a role unless we know we’ll be able to find someone to fill it within 5 days
but also a bunch of aspects of our operating model - legal paperwork, communication patterns, pricing, placement fees, FP&A, our sales pitch, account management, our interview process, the way we’ve structured our internal team etc. - are all predicated on the idea that we’re gonna be working directly with independent consultants
we don’t think recruiters/agencies/hiring platforms, etc. are inherently bad and we know it’s hard out there
we’re just unfortunately not built / designed to do C2C with other folks
at least not yet
